If your printer stops responding, double-click on the tiny printer icon in the lower right-hand corner of the screen (near the Time), then click on Printer, then on Cancel all documents (or Purge print documents or equivalent). Then wait a few moments for the computer to cancel all documents waiting in your "Print Spooler". Then try printing your document again. (You may have to restart the computer first. Click on the Cancel button if the computer asks if you want to print any print jobs that are waiting to be printed out when you go to shut down or restart the computer.)
